There will be some fresh and familiar faces joining Season 4 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Tom Wilson (Back to the Future) will join as a recurring character, while Ramona Young (Santa Clarita Diet) will be a series regular, according to an official announcement made on Saturday afternoon at San Diego Comic-Con.
It goes without saying that Wilson, most famous for playing the bullish Biff Tannen in the Back to the Future series, is no stranger to time travel. He will be playing Nate’s (Nick Zano) father, Hank Heywood. With a lifetime in the military and Department of Defense, Hank is said to be part of a long line of Heywoods who have served the country.
However, it sounds as though Wilson will certainly be playing against his (Biff) type, as Hank is described as someone who is charming and charismatic, leaving big shoes for Nate to fill.
Meanwhile, you may remember Young playing her namesake on Santa Clarita Diet with perfect deadpan (pun intended) comic timing. In Legends, she'll be playing the role of Alaska Yu.
Described as a typical twentysomething easily swept up by romantic notions and fantasy novels, Yu also happens to be something of an expert in the world of the magical creatures that the Legends encounter in Season 4. In the company of the Legends, Yu soon learns to get her head out of the clouds to become a kickass superhero.
This casting news comes hot on the heels of the previously announced news that John Constantine (Matt Ryan), Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan), and Nora Darhk (Courtney Ford) will all appear in Season 4. Most of the original cast were in attendance for SDCC, as well as showrunner Phil Klemmer and producer Keto Shimiz, who excitingly teased that Constantine, fairy tale fugitives, and plenty more time travel will be coming fans' way.
