DC's Legends of Tomorrow go all out punk with Clash music video

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is unarguably the craziest of The CW’s superhero shows. Now it can argue it's the coolest.

In tonight’s episode, the Waverider team heads to 1970s London to stop an attack on the British monarchy. This time in London coincides with the beginnings of the punk era. Bands like the Clash, Buzzcocks, and Sex Pistols were playing music with the aim to fight the establishment, and do it as loud and as fast as possible. For those of you who are readers of Constantine/Hellblazer comics, you know this was his scene.

In honor of the time, Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/White Canary) posted an awesome music video on her Instagram account, featuring her and the cast rocking out in their own inimitable way to the Clash’s “Should I Stay or Should I Go.”

Of course, this isn't the first time the Legends have performed such a legendary tribute. In Season 3, the team also visited the '70s, but during the disco era — so they reacted in kind with a version of “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees.

And to show off their range, the Legends' visit to the Wild West brought about a tribute to the Will Smith song "Wild, Wild West" — perhaps the best thing to come out of Smith's 1999 film of the same name. Well, besides the giant Kenneth Branagh spider.

If these videos are any indication, it looks like the cast loves making the show as much as fans enjoy watching it. With the insanity that was Beebo last season, we can’t wait to see what they do to top it.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs Monday nights on The CW.
