“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of a brain must be in want of more brains.” Lionsgate has finally unleashed the first Pride and Prejudice and Zombies teaser trailer upon the world.

As some of you will no doubt be aware, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is the hit 2009 novel penned by Seth Grahame-Smith (Jane Austen is credited as a co-writer), which has Pemberley come under attack from a terrifying horde of zombies. The whole thing is, of course, very loosely based on one of my favorite classic novels, Pride and Prejudice.

The movie stars Lily James (Downton Abbey, Cinderella) as zombie killer Elizabeth “Lizzy” Bennet and Doctor Who’s very own Matt Smith as Mr. Collins. The trailer has everything one can expect from Jane Austen's 19th-century Regency England: wonderful estates, balls, dashing gentlemen dashingly riding horses, balls, Darcy (Colin Firth Sam Riley) plunging into a lake with his shirt on, more balls and … explosions, blood and the Bennet sisters kicking undead butt, Buffy the Vampire Slayer-style. Frankly, they wouldn't look that out of place on AMC's The Walking Dead, corsets and all. Check it out!

Directed by Burr Steers, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies also stars Jack Huston, Lena Headey and Charles Dance. It will open in theaters on Feb. 5, 2016.
