The gang's all here.

Collider reports both Colossus (Stefan Kapicic) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) will officially be back for Deadpool 2. Which is great news, 'cause they comprised a surprisingly large amount of the original film's supporting cast (it was a fairly small-scale movie, y'all).

The news came from writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who confirmed the return, saying "They'll be in the sequel” with "at least an appearance."

Sadly, that's pretty much all they said about it ... though it does give us an indication of which pieces will be moving around the board in Deadpool 2. We already know the film will be introducing Cable, and with this news, we can be fairly sure the X-Men will have at least some type of presence in the film. Best guess is that it'll be a bigger one, too, as Fox looks to leverage the success of Deadpool across the full X-Men line. Might there finally be a few more people kicking around that huge, empty mansion in the sequel?

Deadpool 2 is tentatively penciled in to open January 12, 2018.

Are you glad to hear these two heroes will be back for the follow-up?
