Fox is hard at work getting the script for Deadpool 2 ready to shoot, and now they've added one heck of a good writer to help it across the finish line.

Collider reports Drew Goddard (Daredevil Season 1, The Cabin in the Woods) has joined the project as a consultant. Goddard is apparently working with original writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who are apparently still "extremely involved" in the project. Star Ryan Reynolds is also reportedly working closely with the writing team, which makes sense, because he's been intimately involved with getting the character on screen for years.

Goddard should make an excellent addition to the team. He co-wrote and directed the genre-busting horror flick The Cabin in the Woods with Joss Whedon, plus he wrote the acclaimed script adaptation of The Martian. Oh, and he also crafted the fantastic first season of Netflix's Daredevil series, so he's no stranger to bringing a comic book to life. As far as polishing up someone else's work, Goddard is also an accomplished script doctor and played a big part in shaping up World War Z during those extensive reshoots.

Do you think Goddard is a good addition? What do you want to see in Deadpool 2?
