A major setting in Deadpool 2 is the Ice Box, a prison whose sole purpose is for incarcerating bad mutants. This is where Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) and Russell (Julian Dennison) are sent after their little stunt at the Essex Home for Mutant Rehabilitation. The two become cellmates at the prison, where we first meet Black Tom Cassidy (Jack Kesy) and Juggernaut (voiced by Reynolds).

However, there's more to the Ice Box than meets the eye, as there are plenty of Marvel mutant cameos, according to the film's makeup artist Bill Corso, who posted a gallery of a few inmates on Instagram. One of them is Omega Red, who, as we reported last week, was teased for the sequel's Blu-Ray release next month.

"To celebrate the Comic Con showing of our special, Mega Fan only, Deadpool 2: the Unrated Cut, I’ve decided to show the, blink and you’ll miss them, Mutant Villains of the Ice Box Prison," he wrote. "Some characters from the Marvel Universe hidden here are Omega Red, and various others from sifting through the FOX approved X-Men Universe."

NFL Jets rookie Dakoda Shepley, who portrayed Omega Red, admitted in an interview with The New York Post that while the experience was cool, it cut into his workout time for football.

“I can’t imagine being a full-time actor and being a full-time football player," he said. "The days I was there, even as an extra, I was there from 7 a.m. to midnight. Where am I going to work out? I’d have no time to train. It’s definitely something I’d like to pursue after football, whenever that may be.”

The "Uncut" version to which Corso refers, will be screened at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 21 at 10 p.m. in the Horton Grand Theater.

Everyone else will get to see Omega Red in action when Deadpool 2 arrives on Blu-Ray August 21. One of the extra features included on the home video release is something titled "Chess with Omega Red."
