We can only speculate as to the overall mood on the set of Deadpool 2 right now, after the tragic death of stuntwoman Joi “SJ” Harris following a motorcycle stunt. But we do know that things are moving forward, as tweets buzzing from David Leitch’s Vancouver, Canada, set clearly relay.
But one post from actor Eddie Marsan tells us a little something more, not the least of which is the fact that he’s in the movie. On Aug. 22, the actor likely best known for playing Inspector Lestrade in the Sherlock Holmes franchise, tweeted:
Indeed, Marsan’s IMDb profile has been updated with the “Deadpool 2 (filming)” credit, however without a specific role attached (any guesses?). Which is great news for fans of quality film and television fare, as some of the English actor's other 115 credits can attest, including Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, The Illusionist, Hancock, V for Vendetta, Atomic Blonde, and Ray Donovan.
But beyond confirming Marsan’s participation in Deadpool 2, and that things are indeed moving forward, his tweet also gives us a quick glimpse as to how they’re moving forward. In Marsan’s case, that’s by being surrounded by family, and warmly welcomed by Ryan Reynolds.
Deadpool 2 opens wide June 1, 2018.
