Deadpool 2's Ryan Reynolds hilariously feuds with Paddington over People's Choice Awards

We get it. The People’s Choice Awards are serious business. Especially when the coveted Best Family Film award is up for grabs. But Deadpool 2 might just be getting greedy at this point, as star Ryan Reynolds is out here threatening the competition on social media just for the sake of a few write-in votes. For shame, Ryan.

It wouldn’t be so bad if the target weren't perhaps the most friendly of all the ooey-gooey nominees, Paddington 2. Paddington, the sweet, orphaned British-Peruvian bear-in-a-hat, hasn’t ever hurt anyone. He can’t even swear. So imagine his surprise when Reynolds told him to “watch [his] f***ing back.” This comes from a tweet that the Deadpool 2 actor sent out expressing thanks for the film’s nominations for Best Movie and Best Action Movie.

Those two categories just weren’t enough for Deadpool 2, apparently. Neither were Reynolds’ solo nominations for Best Male Movie Star and Best Action Movie Star. The Merc With a Mouth has got an awards ambition surpassing even Black Panther.

So what’s a bear to do? There are frankly no words, as the franchise’s Twitter account displayed:

But it’s not like Deadpool (or Reynolds, for that matter) got where they are today by having no sense of humor. That’s to the chagrin of many Twitter users, all expressing shock somewhere between genuine and as tongue-in-cheek as Reynolds’ tweet. You can see some of the highlights below:
