Deadpool clip shows us two girls and one punch

Deadpool is one of comicdom’s wackiest protagonists, who breaks the fourth wall/is completely off the wall. After appearing in the less-than-stellar X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), he’s been made the lead in his own movie, the eponymous Deadpool. But he won’t be going it alone.

In the clip below, the amusingly titled "Two Girls, One Punch," we see Deadpool team up with Colossus (aka Piotr Rasputin) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (aka Ellie Phimister)—both X-Men. It seems that Deadpool has a love-on for mutants.

Here we finally get to see Piotr speaking in his thick Russian accent. He lets the enemy, the ferocious Angel Dust, know that he prefers not to hit a woman.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead doesn’t have the same hesitation that Colossus has—at least, not when it comes to smacking down an enemy. She does, however, hesitate for her own teenage reasons.

And throughout it all, Deadpool provides sarcastic commentary.

From where I stand, it’s good decision not to make Deadpool the only superhero in his story. He may be a bit too wacky for the average filmgoing audience. Giving Colossus, a more traditional hero, screen time may ease the confusion some theatergoers will have when they see just how antiheroic he is.

Deadpool releases on Feb. 12, 2016.
