He’s got legs and he knows how to use them. Deadpool is on the move and he’s bringing his baby legs with him. Ryan Reynolds teased the Blu-ray release of Deadpool 2’s Super Duper Cut this afternoon from his Twitter account with a clip showcasing some poor sap stuck with diaper duty for the miniaturized Merc with the Mouth.
The promo features a father being shocked to find Deadpool, complete with minuitrazed legs waiting for him on a changing table in the dark. And if that wasn't enough to wake the poor guy up, Deadpool's alludes to quite a mess going on with his "undercarriage." Deadpool doesn't allow the guy to pass this task onto his wife, saying "it's just you and me now." Deadpool is nothing if not a proponent of modern feminism.
Released on May 18, Deadpool 2 doubled down on the first film, offering more gags, more bloodshed, more heart, and more unpleasantly tiny appendages attached to a full grown man. Topping the tiny hand moment from the first film, Deadpool 2 gave us a scene in which we see more of Wade Wilson than we ever wanted to as we get a good look at his bottom half mid-regeneration. And if that wasn’t enough, Deadpool also gave us the Basic Instinct treatment ala Sharon Stone, which may be the franchise’s most shocking comedic moment to date.
Reynolds recently detailed how the memorable scene came about, and how his wife, Blake Lively, helped inspire the scene and added “shirt c*cking” to our lexicon. We’re eternally gratefully, and certainly wouldn't mind seeing more of the little fella in the next installment.
Deadpool 2 hits Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday.
