Debbie (Deborah) Lee Carrington, an actress known for her work on Total Recall, Bride of Chucky, and Star Wars:  Return of the Jedi, has died at the age of 58. Her passing was confirmed by her Star Wars co-star Mike Quinn, who played Nien Nunb in Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens

"So sad to hear of the passing of a fellow Return Of The Jedi performer Debbie Lee Carrington," wrote Quinn on Facebook. "She was an advocate for actors with disabilities and had a degree in child psychology."

Carrington was born on December 14, 1959, in San Jose, California, with dwarfism, a condition in which a person will not grow beyond 4'10", even into adulthood. In 1982, she received a degree in child psychology from University of California-Davis. One of her first-ever roles in Hollywood was as an Ewok in Return of the Jedi, a role she'd reprise two more times for the television movies Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure (1984) and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor (1985).

Star Wars certainly gave Carrington her start, and she'd go on to appear in a whole number of high-profile genre projects throughout the '80s and '90s, such as Howard the DuckThe Garbage Pail Kids Movie, Total RecallSpaced InvadersBatman ReturnsMen in Black, and Bride of Chucky

Carrington's Chucky co-star Jennifer Tilly (the voice of Bonnie Swanson on Family Guy) also took to social media to commemorate her fellow actress. "You were such a joy to work with," she wrote on Twitter. "You had inimitable spirit, and a great attitude. Whenever you were on the set you kept everybody laughing and happy."
