Debbie (Deborah) Lee Carrington, an actress known for her work on Total Recall, Bride of Chucky, and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, has died at the age of 58. Her passing was confirmed by her Star Wars co-star Mike Quinn, who played Nien Nunb in Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.
"So sad to hear of the passing of a fellow Return Of The Jedi performer Debbie Lee Carrington," wrote Quinn on Facebook. "She was an advocate for actors with disabilities and had a degree in child psychology."
Star Wars certainly gave Carrington her start, and she'd go on to appear in a whole number of high-profile genre projects throughout the '80s and '90s, such as Howard the Duck, The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, Total Recall, Spaced Invaders, Batman Returns, Men in Black, and Bride of Chucky.
Carrington's Chucky co-star Jennifer Tilly (the voice of Bonnie Swanson on Family Guy) also took to social media to commemorate her fellow actress. "You were such a joy to work with," she wrote on Twitter. "You had inimitable spirit, and a great attitude. Whenever you were on the set you kept everybody laughing and happy."
