She was born in Lakewood, Ohio on this day in 1947. She would go on to create one of the greatest sci-fi characters of all time in Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein. She's a comic genius. She's Teri Garr.

Garr was also a featured guest on an episode of Star Trek in 1968 called "Assignment: Earth" in which she played a secretary who helps Kirk stop a nuclear war.

Also born on this day in 1962 is Ben Browder, who did some great work on both Farscape and Stargate. Here he is in an interview from a few years back about how he interjected sci-fi lines into Farscape.

Finally, on this day in 1973, Yasiin Bey was born in Brooklyn. You probably know him as Mos Def. He got his start acting on The Cosby Mysteries and has made appearances on Yo Gabba Gabba! and Dexter... and he played Ford Prefect in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Tomorrow: Jennifer Connelly and Madchen Amick.
