It was on this day in 1995 that 12 Monkeys (the movie) premiered. It'd been screened a month or so prior and then commenced with a limited run starting on this day. It exploded into theaters nationwide a few days later.

Taking a look at the trailer, it's easy to see why audiences went to see it.

The movie starred Madeleine Stowe and Bruce Willis. It earned Brad Pitt an Oscar nomination, and later it became a very compelling television show on SYFY. It's worth a rewatch.

Celebrating birthdays today are two of your favorite unsung TV stars. First up: Emilie de Ravin (Claire on Lost and Belle on Once Upon a Time) was born on this day in 1981.

And Masi Oka, who was so much fun as Hiro Nakamura on Heroes, was born this day in 1974 in Tokyo.

Tomorrow: Stan Lee and Maggie Smith.
