Two amazing actors celebrate birthdays today, though neither have a HUGE amount of sci-fi work under their belts. And yet this is an excuse to show you some pretty great clips!

Let's start with Jeff Bridges, born on this day in 1949 in Los Angeles. And let's get a little nostalgic remembering him in Tron (1982), shall we?

And then, of course, the newer Tron (Legacy, 2010).

Jeff is the brother of Beau Bridges and son of Dorothy and Lloyd Bridges. Lloyd Bridges was an explorer and actor who is so genius in Airplane (1980) but also did maybe his best work in Joe vs. the Volcano (1990).

And because we should… the Dude abides.

Also celebrating a birthday today is actress Marisa Tomei, born in Brooklyn on this day in 1964. Tomei famously (and, at the time somewhat mysteriously) won an Academy Award for her role in My Cousin Vinny (1992). She was most recently Aunt May in Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Tomorrow: Flash Gordon, Nick Stahl, Walt Disney.
