Demon Dean is really, really evil in new trailer for Supernatural S10

Considering the series has been on for a full decade, the crew behind The CW’s Supernatural has done a remarkable job of keeping the story of two brothers traveling the Midwest hunting demons and ghosts fresh. Well, here’s the first look at the big wrinkle we’ll see in season 10.

As fans know, season nine ended with one heck of a cliffhanger, as Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) found himself transformed into a demon thanks to the Mark of Cain. Whoops. The season ended with Dean going rogue with King of Hell Crowley (Mark Sheppard), while Sam (Jared Padalecki) is left trying to figure out what the heck is going on.

As far as cliffhangers are concerned, it was a doozy. But with the new season less than a month away, the network has finally dropped a trailer showing where they’ll be taking things once the series returns. Turns out Demon Dean is basically just Dean with no inhibitions or conscience, which is really quite terrifying. He’s also a fan of karaoke, so, yeah, he really is evil.

We’re actually pretty psyched for the new season, and pitting Sam against Dean could be just the spark they need to keep it rolling. Check out the new footage below and let us know what you think:

Supernatural season 10 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 7, on The CW.
