Chucky is heading to England for one scary 18th birthday bash, and movie premiere.

That’s right, the demonic doll from 1988's Child’s Play is unleashing his seventh movie, Cult of Chucky, at the 18th annual FrightFest horror and fantasy film festival in London’s West End this August.

The global premiere of Cult of Chucky will serve as an opening night event, with writer and director Don Mancini and stars Jennifer Tilly and Fiona Dourif in attendance, alongside Chucky himself in advance of the movie’s home entertainment rollout in October.

“It’s a true pleasure to be hosting the world premiere of Cult of Chucky at FrightFest,” Mancini said in a press release. “I have fond memories of unveiling Curse of Chucky there in 2013 so it’s great to be returning to the UK’s acknowledged home of horror – especially as this film picks up from where Curse … left off.”

Called the “Woodstock of gore” by Guillermo del Toro, FrightFest will take place Aug. 24-28 at the Cineworld Leicester Square and The Prince Charles Cinema. In addition to Cult of Chucky, the festival, sponsored by the UK’s Horror Channel, will also present 64 films, including 20 world, 22 European and 18 UK premieres.
