Did Abrams just put out a Star Wars 7 casting call for a Wookie?

We’re still waiting to hear exactly what J.J. Abrams is planning for Star Wars: Episode VII, but a new casting call might’ve given away a major casting tidbit.

The folks at Den of Geek are reporting a new casting note, which they believe is connected to the Star Wars sequel, is looking for an extremely tall man who sounds mysteriously like a Wookie.

We’ve already heard rumblings Harrison Ford would be bringing Han Solo back to life, so it’s only fitting he’d be joined by his fuzzy pal Chewbacca. Check out the listing below for a good feel for what they’re looking for:

"Male, 7 ft to 7.3 ft tall with a slim/thin build and upright posture. Not too worked out or too 'thick set' especially in the shoulders. Broad facial features would be a bonus."

Now, for the sake of comparison, original Star Wars actor Peter Mayhew is 7'3" and matches up pretty squarely with that physique. This role could always be for some other extremely tall alien character, but if the call is going out this early it’s probably for a semi-major part —and Chewbacca would fit the bill.

What do you think? Is Abrams preparing to bring everyone’s favorite Wookie back for a return trip? If so, heck, why not call Mayhew?
