To say there are a lot of rumored options to direct Star Wars VII would be an understatement. But if one slip of the tongue is to be believed, the job might already be filled. Did Matthew Vaughn's (X-Men: First Class) buddy just spill the beans?
Actor Jason Flemyng (Snatch, First Class) , a frequent collaborator with Vaughn who has played in nine of his films, recently did an interview with HeyUGuys and was asked if he might pop up in the Star Wars sequel.
His answer? He expects to get a call from Vaughn about some type of role, indicating he might know more than we do about how far along the rumored negotiations have progressed.
When the interviewer presses Flemyng on his comment he flashes an "Oh, crap!" grin and tries to brush it off and move on. Now, Flemyng could just be playing into the rumor mill, but he seemed pretty sure of what he was talking about.
Check out the interview below.
What do you think? Is Vaughn the man for the job, or is this just more misdirection?
