Did Warner Bros. just tease a superhero pic we never expected with a viral poster?

While Marvel hasn't shied away from the sillier aspects of its mythology in bringing its comics to theaters (see: the gun-wielding, anthropomorphic raccoon coming soon to a multiplex near you), DC and Warner Bros. seem to be adopting a darker, more melodramatic tone in their cinematic adaptations (Green Lantern notwithstanding) ... which makes a poster recently received from the WB by Midtown Comics apparently teasing a 2014 Wonder Twins movie starring Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis all the more confusing.

Yes, the Wonder Twins. Those Hanna Barbera-created alien sibling members of the Super Friends with the power to turn into ice buckets and giant gorillas while palling around with their pet simian, Gleek. And, yes, Ashton Kutcher, fresh off his meh-inducing turn as Steve Jobs. And, yes, Mila Kunis, fresh off Oz the Great and Powerful and Ted. No word yet on who's in the running to play the monkey.

Now, as would be expected when a bomb like this drops, there's a lot of discussion bouncing around about what, exactly, it could mean. Let's break it down:

1) It's a hoax - This theory has the lead out of the gate, and it's got a strong foundation. It's almost 2014, so it'd be strange for Warner and DC to not have made any noise at all about a release that's less than a year away. Plus, it's probably an understatement to say that the Wonder Twins don't have a ton of fans, meaning the value of making a movie based on the characters isn't that great compared to, I don't know ... freakin' Wonder Woman.

But then, Midtown Comics tweeted a second photo of the poster along with the cardboard tube in which it supposedly shipped, labeled with offical-looking WB branding. Could someone have put the whole thing together in Photoshop and mailed it to Midtown Comics? Sure. But why would they?

 2) It's about Entourage - The film adaptation of the HBO series (also to be produced under the WB tent) is picking up steam, with production slated to start in early 2014. The show has certain connections to the DC Universe, what with the whole Vincent-Chase-as-Aquaman storyline, so there's some speculation flying around that it may be an early attempt at viral promotion for the Entourage movie.

3) It's real - In which case, we might as well just let Darkseid destroy the planet now, because nothing makes sense any more.

What do you think? Are we really getting a Wonder Twins movie? And would Kutcher and Kunis have the I-don't-know-what to make you want to see them activate their powers on the big screen? Or is it all just smoke and mirrors?
