A one-minute-long final trailer for Gareth Edwards’ movie set in a galaxy far, far away has been released during yesterday’s Wonderful World of Disney holiday special, featuring some fresh new footage.

Some of the highlights of this final trailer/promo include a lot more of Alan Tudyk’s droid K-2SO (who I’m pretty sure is going to become an instant fan favorite, like BB-8 in The Force Awakens) and a scene where even a bazooka type of weapon isn't enough to save our Rebels from an AT-ACT walker. Thankfully, the arrival of several X-wings saves the day. And our heroes.

Set between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Rogue One tells the story of a group of Rebels tasked with stealing the plans to the Galactic Empire's new weapon of mass destruction.

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker and James Earl Jones. The movie will blast off in movie theaters on Dec. 16.
