Last summer, Hulu announced it was throwing its hat into the anthology series ring (a la Netflix’s Black Mirror) with a TV show titled Dimension 404.

Now we finally have the first sneak peek (which is giving off all the Tron feels in the opening scenes) at the sci-fi/fantasy series that will see fan favorite Patton Oswalt (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Lea Michele (Scream Queens), Robert Buckley (iZombie), Joel McHale (Community), Ryan Lee (Goosebumps) and more guest-star.

The new one-hour anthology series is the brainchild of Dez Dolly and Will Campos, along with co-creators Dan Johnson and David Welch. The Hulu series will be executive-produced by Freddie Wong (who also directs), Matthew Arnold and Dolly who serves as showrunner. So, what’s Dimension 404 about? The series is said to be inspired by those 404 error codes one sometimes finds online and aims to “evoke that 3 a.m. feeling of wandering onto the weird world” of the Internet. So far, so intriguing. Have a look at the synopsis:

In the darkest depths of cyberspace, there is another world. A lost dimension, home to wonders unseen, terrors unspeakable, and stories unlike any ever told. Dimension 404 is a science fiction anthology that explores the wonders - and terrors - of our digital age. From outrageous horror comedy to mind-bending action adventure, each episode tells a weird and wild sci-fi tale where the twist ending... is just the beginning. Do not click back. Do not reload. You have reconnected... to Dimension 404.

Here are the titles and episode details for three of the six standalone episodes:

“MATCHMAKER”: Starring Lea Michele, Robert Buckley and Joel McHale

When Adam (Buckley), a lonely music blogger, meets his perfect match through a cutting-edge dating app, it seems like a dream come true. But the moment he says “I love you,” his life takes a turn for the terrifying – and Adam discovers a shocking truth that makes him question everything he thought he knew about life and love.

“CHRONOS”: Starring Ashley Rickard and Utkarsh Ambudkar

A hopelessly nostalgic physics student fights to prove her sanity – and goes on an adventure through space and time – when no one on Earth can remember her favorite 90’s cartoon show.

“CINETHRAX”: Starring Sarah Hyland and Patton Oswalt

A snooty cinema purist struggles to convince his fellow filmgoers that the 3D movie they’re watching – screening in a mysterious new format – is summoning forth a brain-sucking interdimensional monster only he can see. It’s up to him to ruin the film and save the world.

Dimension 404 will premiere April 4 on Hulu. Are you looking forward to the new sci-fi anthology series?
