Ever wanted to map out your own Pan's Labyrinth in the comfort of your own home? Or a Shape of Water in the comfort of your flooded-out bathroom? Now that can be miles easier to imagineer, with the help of NECA's very own and very new Guillermo del Toro action figure.
NECA launched its line of Guillermo del Toro figures last year with Santi from The Devil's Backbone, and continued it earlier this year with a truly terrifying Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth (complete with underworld throne and eyeball hands, of course). If you were expecting perhaps Hellboy or the Creature from The Shape of Water to be next (or even a Creature/Abe Sapiens two-fer figurine set), well, that's what we expected too, but the delightful addition of an actual Guillermo del Toro is a welcome one. Exclusive photos of the new figure are now up at EW.com, and the realism is so great, it'll have you writing a script for a Pinocchio film in no time. Click through EW's tweet for more exclusive snaps.
Del Toro's figure will be sold for $40 at the NECA booth at San Diego Comic-Con and is a very limited edition: Just 2,000 mini del Toros are being unleashed on the world.
Well, the more del Toros the better, if you ask us, so here's hoping the line gets extended beyond Con.
Oh, and the action figure comes with a mini replica of the notebook del Toro used to sketch out ideas for Pan's Labyrinth, complete with actual sketches inside. With so much realistic detail, it couldn't hurt to put a mandrake root under its bed to see what happens.
