Recently, we learned both Han Solo and Finn would be making an appearance in the second season of Star Wars Forces of Destiny along with returning characters Rey, Leia, Padme, Jyn, Sabine, and Ahsoka. We also knew we'd see new episodes featuring Hera Syndulla, Maz Kanata, and others. Fans have been eagerly awaiting news on when they'd be able to watch those new episodes.

Now we know.

Disney has announced the dates for two new Forces of Destiny specials and a total of eight new episodes for Season 2. The first half-hour special will air Sunday, October 1, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, while the second will air Sunday, October 29, at the same time. Both will be available on the Disney Channel and the Disney Channel App.

According to reps at Disney, each special will include four new shorts and four shorts from the first season, which will allow new fans who haven't seen FoD to catch up as well as let current fans revisit the first season.

The new trailer highlights some of those new stories and gives hints at what's to come, with one connection that'll likely be a big deal for Star Wars Rebels fans and may even be a hint for Season 4. But you know Disney has a surprise or two left. No Star Wars trailer gives everything away.

As for who else we might see, Hasbro has added both Kylo Ren and Luke to the Forces of Destiny adventure doll line along with Chewbacca. We spotted Chewbacca in the new trailer, but no sign of Kylo or Luke ... yet.

You'll find out right along with us when Forces of Destiny returns to Disney XD this October.
