Doctor Strange unleashes 2 new clips and 12 minutes of B-roll footage

Following yesterday’s first trippy clip from Doctor Strange, Marvel has released two new sneak peeks as well as some cool B-roll footage from the upcoming comic book movie.

The first clip is an early scene between Rachel McAdams’ Christine Palmer and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange. Since it’s obviously early days in the movie, the brilliant but arrogant neurosurgeon is still pretty much ... well ... arrogant. And totally imbued of himself. The second one features an action-packed fight scene between the Sorcerer Supreme and Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) and his acolytes. There’s even a rather hilarious bit there when Strange's mystical powers partially fail him (written by Community's Dan Harmon, maybe?).

Also below are two videos of B-roll footage featuring lots of wirework, explosions, some fight scenes (including the one from clip #2 as it so happens) and green screen action, and we even see the filming of Strange’s car accident. My favorite is the shot of the Sorcerer Supreme standing in front of the Window of the Worlds in his Sanctum Sanctorum. Just beautiful. Have a look!

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilising a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.

Helmed by horror movie director Scott Derrikson (Sinister), Doctor Strange also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Karl Mordo, Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One, Benedict Wong as Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West and Benjamin Bratt. The movie opens on Nov. 4.
