Steven Moffat has revealed he ain’t ready to pass on the keys of the TARDIS as Doctor Who showrunner just yet.

In the latest column of Doctor Who Magazine, the Doctor Who and Sherlock showrunner has all but confirmed that he’ll be sticking around for at least one more timey-wimey season filled with adventures through time and space.

This is what Steven Moffat wrote in this newest issue of the Doctor Who Magazine:

"Sitting here, right now, just before the [series eight] finale shooting block, I've figured out the cliffhanger to the penultimate episode of the next series.
"And it's a whopper. Ohh, I don't think you'll see this coming!"

So, there you are: Moffat is apparently keen on staying put as Who showrunner for the time being.

Are you guys happy to see Steven Moffat is staying on as showrunner for Doctor Who’s Season 9? Or would you rather have him pass the flambeau, already?
