Back in 2008, Doctor Who fans were introduced to the Doctor’s daughter Jenny, played by Georgia Moffett. It took nearly 10 years, but the character will finally return to topline her own series of audio adventures for Big Finish.

According to Radio Times, Moffett will be recording the audio dramas this summer, with an expected release toward the close of the year. Fun fact: Moffett is the daughter of Fifth Doctor Peter Davison and the wife of Tenth Doctor David Tennant.

The Doctor’s daughter won’t go it alone on her cosmic adventures: She’ll be accompanied by a male companion set to be played by Sean Biggerstaff (Harry Potter). One of her audio adventures, titled "Neon Reign," will be written by actor Christian Brassington, who stars as Osborne Whitworth on the BBC’s Poldark.

The character made a single appearance in the sixth episode of Season 4, “The Doctor’s Daughter.” Not technically our beloved Time Lord’s daughter per se, Jenny was actually generated from the Doctor’s DNA and died at the end of the episode, only to regenerate (Hello, Time Lord DNA!) unbeknownst to anyone, steal a rocket, and blast off into space on her own adventures through the stars.

Are you excited about the Doctor’s daughter Jenny setting off on a series of audio dramas?
