Dark Horizons reports that the "Planet of the Dead," the first of four hourlong Doctor Who specials, aired in the United Kingdom on Saturday, pulling in 8.7 million viewers and featuring a cryptic prediction about what's to come, which you can watch after the jump.

The site also reported some spoilery news about the final two Who specials, which make up a two-parter and are currently filming: Torchwood cast members John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth-David Lloyd have been spotted shooting scenes, as have Elisabeth Sladen ("Sarah Jane Smith") and Tommy Knight, who plays her son, Luke; Bernard Cribbins, who plays Donna Noble's grandfather, Wilf Mott; and Jacqueline King, who plays her mother, Sylvia.
