So, does Spider-Man actually become an honest-to-gosh Avenger in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War? I mean, we'll have to wait a few more weeks to find out for sure, but a new spot sure suggests it. Well, sort of.
In the spot released today, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) taps his fist on Peter Parker's (Tom Holland's) left and right shoulders as if knighting him and says, "All right, kid. You're an Avenger now."
Now, it's pretty clear that Tony's being his usual dismissive and sarcastic self here, but since Thanos is coming, the Avengers could use all the help they can get. At any rate, Spider-Man is all decked out in his new Iron Spider costume and ready to help save the world, either as an official or interim Avenger.
Anyway, this might be dangerous, so let's do as Starlord suggests and put on our mean faces.
And in another spot also released today, Vision (Paul Bettany) tells Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen): "We are out of time." He also doesn't look like he's in great shape. It also doesn't bode well that the TV spot is called "End of Vision."
You don't think...?
You know what? We're not going to go there. Not yet, anyway.
Avengers: Infinity War assembles into theatres April 27.
