One of the most anticipated movie's of the summer is Solo: A Star Wars Story. Despite its production troubles behind the scenes, fans of the Star Wars franchise are looking forward to seeing the origins of the man who went from lowly smuggler to hero of the Galactic Rebellion. And while we're a little over four months away from the movie's release, we know virtually nothing about its plot. True, we know that the cast is a star-studded crew comprising Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Paul Bettany, and Thandie Newton. Beyond that, director Ron Howard has been pretty cagey about story details.
However, the wait on that front might be over thanks to a LEGO set, of all things.
Warning: Possible spoilers ahead.
Unconfirmed images of apparent LEGO box art have now found their way onto the internet, depicting what looks to be LEGO tie-in merchandise for Solo: A Star Wars Story; in the corner of the boxes are Ehrenreich, Clarke, Donald Glover, and Chewbacca bathed in an orange glow — it's unclear, however, whether the image is an official visual from the movie.
Among the sets is a white-and-blue Millennium Falcon, which all but confirms that we'll see the famed Kessel Run in the movie with a name like "Kessel Run Millennium Falcon." The other packs are named Imperial TIE Fighter, Imperial Patrol Battle, Landspeeder, and Han Solo Landspeeder. Either of the Landspeeders may have already been teased by Howard in one of his mysterious Twitter posts.
The sets, while obviously not confirmed or made public yet, are causing quite the excitement on social media:
Based on these images (if they're authentic, that is), two things seem likely: 1) We'll see the Millennium Falcon in her smuggling heyday and 2) Han's exploits will put him in direct conflict with the Empire.
Now, if we can only feast our eyes on a trailer ...
