It's been rumored for months that a certain villain would appear in The Dark Knight Rises, and now it looks like we may have proof. Warning: spoilers ahead!
Badass Digest has come across a photo taken in Pittsburgh, where director Christopher Nolan is currently shooting his third and final Batman film, of actress Marion Cotillard—wearing an outfit that's vaguely Asian in style—walking with some sort of armed escort behind her.
Ever since Cotillard was cast in the film, it's been speculated that she would play Talia al Ghul, and even the official announcement that was she portraying "Miranda Tate," a Wayne Enterprises board member, didn't end the rumors.
The chatter only got louder, in fact, when it was reported that Liam Neeson was making some sort of cameo as Talia's dad, Ra's (who was supposedly offed in Batman Begins), that actor Josh Pence was also cast as a young Ra's and that the League of Shadows was returning as a pivotal element of the film.
Since corporate board members usually don't walk around in these sorts of clothes and with heavily armed guards, does this pic conclusively prove that "Miranda Tate" is merely just a front for Talia? Will she be working behind the scenes to bring down Bruce Wayne, while Bane and the League stage a frontal assault on the Caped Crusader?
