Lately, it seems that people are really into three things: Donald Glover, Lando Calrissian, and Lando Calrissian being pansexual

The latter notion was brought up by screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan, who made the revelation while talking about the character's appearance in Solo: A Star Wars Story. While the internet has had all kinds of thoughts about that, the actor behind young Lando, Donald "Steal the Show" Glover, is sharing his thoughts on the matter.

Coming from Entertainment Weekly as part of the same interview during which Glover was asked about the Lando spin-off film rumors, Glover does not mince words. When asked about Kasdan's remark about Lando's pansexuality, Glover had a ready reply: "How can you not be pansexual in space? There are so many things to have sex with. I didn’t think that was that weird."

He then added, "Yeah, he’s coming on to everybody. I mean, yeah, whatever. It just didn’t seem that weird to me ‘cause I feel like if you’re in space, it’s kind of like, the door is open! It’s like, no, only guys or girls. No, it’s anything. This thing is literally a blob. Are you a man or a woman? Like, who cares? Have good time out here.”

Though we don't see Lando put the moves on any aliens in the Star Wars films, Lando does romance a Twi'lek female named Kaasha Bateen in the book Star Wars: Last Shot. The aliens in the Star Wars world are so diverse that it would be weird if many characters in the GFFA didn't have an "anything goes" attitude.

Glover went on to talk about conversations he had with the original Lando, Billy Dee Williams, which also included talk about Lando's sexuality. According to Glover, Williams said, "Be charming. He’s eclectic. He likes different things. He’s somebody who goes around and tries everything, and I just didn’t think about it that much."

Glover seemed to be in complete agreement, adding, "He’s a charming person so I feel like he doesn’t have hard and fast boundaries about everything. But having somebody tell me that, I’m like, OK, cool, makes sense to me. Is it weird that I didn’t think about it that much?”

Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out on May 25.
