Ever since DC's live-action Titans series was officially announced, fans have been excited to see what other favorite DC Comics characters would make an appearance, and now it looks like the Doom Patrol will be teaming up with the Titans.

The live-action Titans series will launch DC's new streaming service later this year and will star Dick Grayson (aka Robin), Starfire, Raven, Hawk, Dove, and Beast Boy as live-action adaptations of the comic book Teen Titans characters -- also made popular by the Teen Titans animated series. And DC Entertainment President and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns just confirmed via Twitter that another superhero group will make an appearance on the show.

Johns tweeted out a photo of the Titans Episode 5 script -- which gives a huge hint as to who else will be showing up. The episode is called "Doom Patrol," and Johns shared the photo along with a sly comment saying "The #Titans are getting some company..."

This is a clear confirmation that the Doom Patrol will make an appearance on Episode 5 of the first season of Titans, but unfortunately the there's no additional information on exactly what will happen when the two groups team up.

The Doom Patrol is a group of misfit and outcast heroes (often called "World's Strangest Heroes") that first appeared in comic form in 1963 but more recently have had a new series through DC's Young Animal imprint, written by Gerard Way and drawn by Nick Derington. The members of the squad have changed throughout the years, but the original Doom Patrol crew included Beast Boy's adopted mother, Elasti-Girl, and since there have been hints she'll make an appearance, she could be the potential tie to the Titans series.
