The first two clips from Disney and Pixar’s Finding Dory have emerged.
A sequel to 2003's Finding Nemo, the movie picks up six months after the events of the first film and finds Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) living a quiet life with the clownfishes. After accompanying Nemo (Hayden Rolence) on a class trip to see the manta rays migrate back home, her homesickness leads the forgetful blue tang on a quest to find where she came from.
Pixar president Jim Morris said of Finding Dory: “The movie will be mostly set at the California Marine Biology Institute, a huge complex of sea life rehabilitation and aquarium, where Dory was born and raised. We will get to meet new characters, like an octopus, sea lions, a beluga whale, among others.”
The first clip sees Marlin (Albert Brooks), Nemo and Dory hitching a ride with the sea turtles, dude, on their sea trip to find Dory’s folks, while clip number two finds Dory meeting a stealthy octopus named Hank, voiced by Ed O’Neil.
Directed by Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, WALL-E, John Carter), the voice cast includes DeGeneres as Dory, Albert Brooks as Marlin, Hayden Rolence as Nemo, Diane Keaton as Jenny, Dory’s mom, Eugene Levy as Charlie, Dory’s dad, as well as Idris Elba, Willem Dafoe, Dominic West, Ty Burrell, Bill Hader, Kaitlin Olson, Ed O'Neill, Vicki Lewis, Bob Peterson, John Ratzenberger and Andrew Stanton.
Finding Dory will find its way onto movie theaters on June 17.
