What if your dream of the perfect family life turned into a nightmare in an instant? The first trailer for Isabelle is here to explore that very horror for you.

The new film — directed by Rob Heydon and written by Donald Martin — follows a happy young couple (Silicon Valley's Amanda Crew and The O.C.'s Adam Brody) as they move into a new home in a beautiful New England neighborhood. The wife, Larissa, is expect their first child, but something about this new home life isn't sitting right. Their neighbor (Sheila McCarthy) seems very standoffish, and Larissa feels eyes on her from the neighboring windows. Then something goes horribly wrong with the baby, and Larissa experiences momentary death in the hospital. After that, things go from tragic to terrifying.

Isabelle had its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival over the weekend, and now the trailer is beginning to make the rounds to get everyone excited for an eventual wider release after more film festivals around the globe later this month.

The trailer isn't long and doesn't give away too many of the scares, but the idea of a film that's incited by this kind of tragedy, which then builds to something even more horrifying, is an intriguing one. Isabelle doesn't have an official U.S. release date yet, but you may want to make a note of this one for when it comes around. It could be a perfect addition to your horror viewing in the coming months.
