Have you ever longed to know the deep brooding sensation and moral righteousness of Jon Snow? Well you’re in luck because Ommegang Brewery in Coopersville, New York have announced the last of their Game of Thrones inspired beer for the year. Ommegang’s Royal Reserve Collection previously introduced Iron Throne, Take the Black Stout, Fire and Blood, Valar Morghulis, Three-Eyed Raven, Seven Kingdoms, Valar Dohaeris, and Bend the Knee over prior years. Their latest brew, inspired by Jon Snow, has been named King in the North and is described as smooth and creamy with a thick and chewy finish.

At a suggessted retail price of $12.99 at bottle, the King in the North is surprisingly affordable. Those who are looking to try all four flavors released this year, King in the North, Mother of Dragons, Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, and Hand of the Queen, will be able to purchase a gift pack for $24.99. Game of Thrones and beer enthusiasts who are feeling particularly bold could even mix King in the North and Mother of Dragons, just to see what happens.

Ommegang Brewery released the following information on King in the North and descriptions of the previous flavors in a press release on their blog:

King in the North Beer

Ommegang Brewery

“King in the North pours jet black with a thick tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate blend with those of oak, bourbon, and vanilla. The flavor is rich and full with notes of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and roasted malt up front followed by smooth bourbon and a hint of oak. The finish is thick and chewy with oatmeal creaminess, and pleasant lingering roast. King in the North pairs well with funky aged cheeses, rich dark meats and decadent desserts. It also makes a great dessert on its own."

Both King in the North, and the gift pack including four 12-ounce bottles, will be available on Black Friday, November 23rd. The beer is available to purchase at the Ommegang Brewery and at retail.

The final season of Game of Thrones premieres on HBO in spring of 2019.
