Dwayne Johnson is perhaps the busiest man in Hollywood. Every month or so it seems like he’s breaking box-office records, announcing new projects, or opening a movie. He’s got so much going on that it’s hard to keep focused on one thing when interviewing the actor.

So when he was speaking with SYFY WIRE at the red carpet for his upcoming high-altitude thriller Skyscraper, Johnson commented about one his countless other projects coming down the pike: Black Adam.

At first pegged to Zachary Levi’s Shazam! film, Black Adam has been moved around a little bit in the DCEU to find the right fit. Johnson confirmed Black Adam is happening, assuring SYFY WIRE that the film's stability is certain. But as far as a cameo in his nemesis' film goes...

Just take a look:

"I'm not in that one," Johnson said. "It's Shazam and Black Adam and, with the way the DC universe works, we should — in theory — meet up on the big screen. But who knows."

Is it true that Johnson's busy schedule is precluding him from even a small appearance in Levi's superhero film? Or is it simply a little white lie misdirection to preserve the surprise of a mid-credit cameo? We'll only really know how much Black Adam is in Shazam! when it premieres on April 5, 2019.
