Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is cooking something quite positive, and his longtime stuntman Tanoai Reed can definitely smell what it is.

Johnson recently gifted Reed with a new truck, and made sure that everyone knew that it was well deserved. Reed, who is also Johnson's cousin, acted as stunt double to the star on his most recent film, Skyscraper, as well as Rampage, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, The Fate of the Furious, Hercules, G.I. Joe: Central Intelligence, and many more.

Johnson captured the moment on his Instagram and wrote in the caption, "SURPRISE! I love handing over keys. I love you brother and enjoy your new truck!" He goes on to celebrate Reed, saying, "Over the course of my career, my stunt double (and cousin) Tanoai Reed has broken multiple bones, severed tendons, torn ligaments & just been an overall dominating bad ass achieving several 'Stuntman of the Year' honors. All done with one goal in mind— deliver the best movie possible to the world."

Reed's reward is described as well, with Johnson writing, "I had this custom pick up truck delivered just in time to surprise him (he’s still recovering from a stunt injury) while we give what he thought was going to be an interview about our careers together. As you’ll see the moment I put my hands on my hips, that’s the drivers cue to pull away and reveal the big surprise. Not only does Tanoai represent our family and my career with relentless commitment and passion. He also represents an entire Hollywood stunt community that is truly the backbone of our business. Love you uso and thank you for the blood, sweat, tears and years. We’re just getting started. Enjoy your new truck!"

Reed seems truly honored and emotional by the generous gift, and our hearts lifted more than a little bit while watching the reveal. We can also see why the man is Johnson's stunt double — they do in fact almost look like "twins," as Johnson says, except Reed does all of the stunts that Johnson might not be allowed to do.

It's a wonderful reminder that for every action hero (and every insane action sequence) there is an army of stunt performers working to make it all work. Sometimes they just receive broken bones, but sometimes they may also receive a new truck courtesy of The Rock.

All hail the people's stunt double, and his new people's truck!
