The first gameplay footage from Overkill's The Walking Dead has come to life on the Internet, and the upcoming first-person shooter looks as if it will please fans of the popular Zombies title from the Call of Duty franchise. Sort of like a mix between CoD and Left 4 Dead, the mechanics of the game revolve around cooperative gameplay, which encourages players to take advantage of the four characters' different abilities and strengths.

When Overkill's project is released, you'll be able to choose between Maya, Aiden, Grant, and Heather, using them for a number of melee, stealth, and survival tactics. In one of the earlier trailers, Grant explains his motivation for staying alive: to find his granddaughter. All of this will play out in the American capital city of Washington, D.C., which actually isn't far from the setting of The Walking Dead on AMC.
"We were so many things," says the narrator, who might be Aiden, since the voice isn't gruff enough to be Grant's. "Husbands and wives, doctors and teachers, writers and architects. But when the world ended, all that ended too. Every day we fight for more than survival, we fight to build a new life."
After several delays since 2014, Overkill's The Walking Dead trudges onto Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 6 for players in North and South America. It becomes available for Europe and everywhere else two days later.
