While we’ll be saying our sad goodbyes to the 2018 edition of Emerald City Comic Con later today, now’s the perfect time to look back on some of the highlights of Day Three of SYFY WIRE’s Live Stage: and we have a lot of good stuff to share.
First was our “Ron Jeremy” sock discussion with Assassinistas comic book writer Tini Howard. Then we had our interview with Mark Russell, who revealed the first Judge Dredd story he had been in contact with (before finally reading the comics) was actually the 1994 movie starring Sylvester Stallone. Which (understandably) ended up turning him off Dredd for a while.
Two more of our Day Three highlights included the sketch fight where the subject was Pennywise the Dancing Clown from Stephen King’s IT, as well as SYFY WIRE’s Debate Club about the weirdest sequel ever. And the selected answer may or may not surprise you.
Felicia Day also came on our Live Stage where she talked about her role in SYFY’s The Magicians and her surprise connection to the book series’ author, Lev Grossman. American Gods stars Ricky Whittle and Yetide Badaki also dropped by to talk about the Starz TV series, with Whittle explaining why he had been excited to work on the Neil Gaiman adaptation: which was primarily all about the book fans and their reaction to the show. You can check out our exclusive interview with them here.
There’s both some fluffy and juicy stuff in there, so dig into the video above. Oh, and don't forget to head here to live stream our selected panels as well as our Live Stage.
