The wait is almost over. While we’re hurtling toward the highly anticipated premiere of director James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in movie theaters, new images from the Marvel movie have been released.

Unveiled as part of Entertainment Weekly’s Summer Movie Preview, the images offer an amazing group shot of the crew of the Milano featuring the additions of Yondu (Michael Rooker), Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff).

We also have stunning images of Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Baby Groot (Vin Diesel), the Ravagers, Mantis and Drax (Dave Bautista), previously-seen shots of Star Lord’s dad Ego the Living Planet (Kurt Russell) and Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki), a behind-the-scenes pic of James Gunn (who recently confimed he'll be back writing and directing Vol. 3) with Michael Rooker, and the magazine cover for EW’s special issue.

Have a look at the new pics below, and chime in with your thoughts.

Are you looking forward to more cosmic shenanigans set to the backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2 when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens in theaters on May 5 (or May 4 in select theaters)?
