One of Marvel's favorite femme fatales is getting her own solo series, and here's a first look at Elektra's trip to the neon lights of Las Vegas.

Marvel has dropped some preview pages from the first issue of Elektra, a new series from writer Matt Owens (Luke Cage) and artist Juann Cabal. The first arc, "Running With the Devil," follows the former assassin as she tries to lose herself in all the neon and noise.

Sadly, even in a city as busy as Vegas, people notice when a master assassin hits the strip. The baddie Arcade is looking for her, with hopes of roping her into the next round of his new-look Murderworld. Elektra is looking to escape the cycle of violence, but it'll be hard to do in Murderworld.

Elektra has been popping up in some cameo role across the All New Marvel canon the past year or two, and it'll be interesting to see what Owens & Co. do with the breathing room afforded by a solo series. She's been around a long time, with all sorts of crazy history, and more than deserves a spot in the new canon.

Plus, fingers crossed for some Daredevil crossovers.

The first issue of Elektra hits shelves on February 22. Check out the preview pages below and let us know what you think.
