Evangeline Lilly explains how Wasp would've taken out Thanos long before the snap

We know if that all-female Marvel team that the MCU’s stars have been pushing for had faced Thanos down in Avengers: Infinity War (and not been either spread super thin with second-string baddies or not in the movie at all), then the Mad Titan wouldn’t have stood a chance. But something sadistic in fans wants to know exactly how it’d go down.

Thankfully, Ant-Man and the Wasp star Evangeline Lilly spoke to PopBuzz about being Wasp, and she wasn’t shy about her murderous plans — or her plans on getting the gang together to make that girl squad a reality.

Check it out:

So yes, of course, we want a Captain Marvel-led female Avengers (though despite her military experience in the Air Force, she’s never technically been a general like Nick Fury, as Lilly claims), and we’d love for it to “reinvent the wheel” as Lilly ambitiously hopes. But also, hearing Lilly’s plan to take out Thanos is so cathartic and gruesome that it’s hard to think about anything else.

“Because I would have been on [the team], and it means I would have shrunk very small, [and] I would have flown into Thanos’ ear, punched a hole in his brain, and he would have fallen down dead,” Lilly said. “Simple.” Awesome. Why doesn’t Marvel show what happens to its fallen foes’ brains more? Where are the Mortal Kombat x-rays? If The Wasp is going to kill Thanos from the inside out, it would be one of the more epic ways of killing a supervillain -- and certainly the coolest seen on screen.

But until we have that all-female MCU entry, that kind of gore and violence just won’t happen, because the male Avengers -- apparently -- just don’t have what it takes.
