Evangeline Lilly had Lost déjà vu after hearing Infinity War's direction

Most Marvel star players go to great lengths to avoid revealing anything about what’s coming up in the MCU, particularly when it pertains to the next Avengers movie. But Ant-Man and The Wasp star Evangeline Lilly apparently isn’t one of those people.

During a Q&A interview alongside co-star Paul Rudd with NDTV (via CBR), the actress has suggested that Avengers 4 could go the way of her mysterious TV show Lost.

"When I heard about Infinity War [and Avengers 4] and the direction that they’re heading, I did have this moment of realizing, oh, wow, there’s a bit of a déjà vu for me with the Lost franchise," Lily said, adding: "We are hitting that [Lost] Season 4 space. Where everything's about to shift, and you’re about to lose the solid ground underneath you. And [Ant-Man and the Wasp], of course, will play a part in that."

So, what possible clues could Lilly be offering us here? Or has she just mastered the art of talking without revealing anything at all? Well, apart from it being one of the shortest seasons of the ABC hit show (due to the writer's strike at the time) Season 4 was notable for incorporating elements of multiple timelines, and even, time travel.

This is certainly in keeping with how things were left in Infinity War (emergency, paging Captain Marvel!) although we're slightly worried now that the movie could incorporate some other head-scratching elements of the J. J. Abrams show (we'll admit we’re still not quite sure what a Frozen Donkey Wheel is.)

Elswhere in the chat, both stars were quizzed by the host about where the hell they were when the Avengers needed them in Infinity War. "I remember going to see Infinity War and they do mention that I was under house arrest, and not able to leave," Rudd explained, while Lilly joked: "For the record, I was there. I was just tiny!"
