The First Lady of, well, everything is making her way back into Lucifer’s life.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine was not the only show to go through the Fox cancellation blues. Lucifer, based on the Vertigo comic book of the same name, also found itself on the chopping block. Just like Brooklyn, fan support helped find Lucifer a new home with a 10-episode Season 4 on Netflix.
Last season, we saw Lucifer (Tom Ellis) go up against the world’s first murderer, Cain, played by Tom Welling (Smallville). Now, he is going to come across the first sinner. You know, the person Lucifer corrupted in the Garden of Eden. That’s right, Eve (Inbar Lavi) is making her way to Los Angeles.
Netflix has released this first look at her at Lux, the bar owned by Lucifer. Drinking an apple martini (she's either owning up to her own faults or reminding Lucifer what he did), she has a mischievous look on her face. What motives does she have for entering the life of the man (angel) who basically destroyed hers?
Not only will Lucifer have to deal with Eve, but the aftermath of his partner Chloe (Lauren German) finally seeing his real face and realizing that everything he said about himself was right. This is a great dynamic. When a superhero’s loved one finds out the truth, they can feel betrayed and hurt for being lied to. In Chloe’s case, she’s been told the truth this entire time.
Given a second chance on Netflix, Lucifer looks like it's not going to take it for granted. First Cain, now Eve. We wonder when Noah will show up to rain on Lucifer’s parade.
Lucifer Season 4 will premiere on Netflix in 2019.
