It won’t be long until we finally get a chance to check out DC’s epic bad-guy team-up Suicide Squad, and the latest trailer focuses squarely on the woman who brings them all together.

David Ayer’s (Fury) deep dive into the naughty side of DC Comics tells the comic tale of ARGUS leader Amanda Waller’s efforts to put together some of the canon’s worst villains and force them to do some good. But how exactly does Waller pull it off? The new footage focuses on Viola Davis’ big-screen version of Waller, and after seeing her in action, you understand how she could get all these supervillains to fall in line.

Davis’ casting seems positively perfect, and she brings the strength and tenacity to really capture this character. Which is tough — she’s one of the strongest characters in DC’s canon, period — but Davis looks to do it justice.

Suicide Squad opens Aug. 5.
