It's October 25 and my heat isn't working. Also, we've been doing this podcast where we watch a scary movie every single day, as you do in October. Not sure if you'd noticed the first 24 posts? Anyway, yeah, we're still doing it!
SYFY FANGRRLS associate editor Courtney Enlow returns to Every Day Horror this week (she just couldn't get enough of talking with me about all the human fluids, I guess), and this time we're talking about the Diablo Cody classic Jennifer's Body.
No, I'm not using the word "classic" ironically. Jennifer's Body is legitimately one of the best horror movies of the 21st century. There was just an article about how if it had come out now (instead of 2009) it would've been a huge hit. And I think I agree?
Cody gets a lot of flack for the way she writes dialogue, and yet we all acted like Buffy Summers and Joss Whedon talk like humans do for years. And, yes, Megan Fox should not have compared Michael Bay with any Nazis, but, you guys, she is SO GOOD as Jennifer in this movie.
What else makes Jennifer's Body a stone-cold classic? How immediate should your rewatch be? Only one way to find out: Listen!
