It is time, nerds! After the epic (and expensive) Battle of the Bastards, we're finally heading into the season finale that has the Internet speculating all week. Last week, Yara and Dany teamed up to help each other stake their claim to their respective thrones, the Starks finally retook their home of Winterfell, and we can only imagine what is brewing at King's Landing. Oh yeah, and let's not forget about the Night King and whatever evil forces he's assembled. However you're watching the finale, show your allegiance to your favorite house with one of these Westeros-inspired looks.
The Khaleesi
Let’s start off with the Mother of Dragons herself. I’m sure everyone is feeling the summer heat, and no one knows more about surviving high temperatures than Daenerys Targaryen. Denver's having a bit of a heat wave, and I am just now discovering that my apartment’s AC unit sucks. So I am taking a page out of Khaleesi’s book and donning all of the light, bright and flowy dresses I can. Slip on a pair of simple sandals and you'll manage to keep your cool in just about any scenario like Dany does.
Arya Stark
While doing research for this article, I found a really cool photo shoot that the cast did with Entertainment Weekly that inspired this take on Arya. I wanted to mix the bohemian look from that shoot with the no-frills tomboy from the show. Slinky tanks and long skirts pair perfectly for a casual, feminine look that isn't too frilly while still a stylish, low-maintenance look regardless of your steeze. Still feeling too exposed? Wrap up in a light kimono top. Boots help give the look more of that tough-girl edge that Arya Stark is known for.
Sansa Stark
We can't forget about the surprise champion of the season, Sansa, who finally gets her well-deserved revenge on Ramsay Bolton. Follow her fashion lead by trying an all-gray look for yourself. For the little bit of chill at night, wrap yourself up with a cozy gray coat. If it has a hood, even better. Finish off the look and dressing it up a bit with some cool boots! I like the added height, and boots are so versatile. They can be dressed up or down.
Jon Snow
OK, guys, I didn’t forget about you! What better style inspo than Westeros' resident hipster, Jon Snow? Let's be honest, a dude like that is not wearing shorts in the summer. If you're feeling super bold and trendy, though, you can swap out the skinny jeans for a pair of cropped joggers. In case those are a little too fashion-forward for you, you can simply roll the cuffs of your jeans to summer-ize your jeans. Pair these with some black combat boots or a timeless pair of Chucks and you're all set! My favorite little touch is the pocket knife. You can’t walk around waving a sword around. Or maybe you can if you're at your home , just watch out that you don’t Ned Stark one of your buddies.
