Director Mike Dougherty, responsible for the cult Halloween classic Trick 'r Treat, is back to ruin another holiday with his latest film, Krampus. The trailer dropped today, and it looks like Dougherty is delivering the goods on his promise of an '80s-style horror/comedy film in the vein of Poltergeist and Gremlins.
The film stars Adam Scott and Toni Collette as Tom and Sarah, a married couple hosting the holidays for their surly family members, including David Koechner (Anchorman), Allison Tolman (Fargo) and Conchata Ferrell (Two and a Half Men).
Blastr talked exclusively to Scott and Collette about what attracted the two actors to Krampus, as well as the basics of the story, how Weta Workshop created all of the practical creatures and the moment during shooting that scared the hell out of both actors.
Krampus opens on Dec. 4, 2015.
