It's the biggest, baddest buddy-up in the galaxy when the two ginormous Battlestars from disparate eras join forces in the second issue of Dynamite's Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #2.

This awesome event series written by the Eisner Award-winning Peter David (Ben Reilly: The Scarlet Spider, The Incredible Hulk) with art by Johnny Desjardins (Legenderry, Jennifer Blood) crosses vast cosmic distances to unite two intrepid spaceships from the classic 1978 TV show led by the venerable Lorne Greene and the rebooted 2004 series aired on SYFY starring Edward James Olmos.

Here's the official solicitation synopsis:

Two crews, separated by more than mere time and space, meet at last! And for all they share in common, they have just as many differences, which leads to suspicion and trouble. Meanwhile, Captain Cain and the Pegasus continue their quest with a most unlikely ally. Are they headed for home or straight into a trap?

Cain was played by veteran actor Lloyd Bridges in the original '70s version and the fate of his mighty Battlestar Pegasus was left unsolved after a suicide run at three heavily fortified Cylon Base Stars. Resurrecting this colossal spaceship and merging it with the time-displaced Battlestar Galactica is a stroke of genius that allows for myriad conflicts and cooperations in their ongoing struggle against the Cylon Empire.
