If you are a fan of fantasy novels and haven’t heard of Seafire by Natalie C. Parker yet, then you’re in for a treat. This incredible novel, which has been described as Mad Max: Fury Road meets Wonder Woman, is the first in a trilogy and lands on August 28.

The book, which Parker was inspired to write after seeing female friendship and loyalty depicted in Fury Road, centers on a group of ass-kicking young women who are ready to take revenge against the men who killed their families and destroyed their homes.

Caledonia Styx is the captain of her own vessel, the Mors Navis, and the ship is crewed entirely by girls and women who’ve lost their homes to warlord Aric Athair and his men, who call themselves the Bullets. Caledonia is determined to keep her crew together and alive; their eventual goal is to take revenge on the men who have brought so much harm to the world.

But when a Bullet wants to defect to Caledonia and her crew, she isn’t sure whether she can trust him. He may have saved the life of her second-in-command, but aren’t all Bullets bloodthirsty warriors who want to do harm? Caledonia must make a difficult decision in choosing whether or not to trust him; the wrong choice may cost her everything.

Seafire has already been named a Best Book of the Month by Goodreads, a Top Ten Indie Next Pick, and one of the year’s most anticipated new fantasies by Entertainment Weekly. EW even revealed the cover and published an excerpt from the book, which you can find here.

Now, if all of this wasn’t enough to get you hyped about Seafire, we’re excited to present an exclusive: the debut of a new official trailer for the book. You can see it below, and make sure to preorder Seafire at your neighborhood bookstore, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, or wherever you buy books.
